The members of the Rev. Willard S. Smith Assembly No. 16 of Central Massachusetts invite the club to participate in their 26th Annual New England Magic Contest.  Each club is allowed two contestants.  In addition, each club is allowed to send one youth contestant, i.e., under the age of 17.  Age 17 and above is considered the adult category. The date is May 4, 2008 at the Strand Theater, 58 High Street, Clinton, MA 01510. There will be three categories in the competition: Youth, Stage, and Close-Up.  Each act is supposed to be no more than 8 minutes in length.  Any act going beyond 8 minutes will have points deducted.
Each act will be judged according to seven categories:
The deadline for each contestant to submit his Application and Tech Sheet Application to Peter Lentros is by midnight, Sunday, April 20, 2008.  A contestant’s fee of $10.00 will be charged to each contestant.  Please make out a check or money order payable to: 280 Eliot Street Ashland, MA. 01721 Note: Absolutely NO FIRE EFFECTS! |
Our Regional Vice President, Marlene Clark, is stepping down from that post to run for National Secretary. Tucker Goodman To Run For RVP New England Tucker Goodman, organizer of the SAMCON one-day conventions in Peabody, MA, has been nominated by Marlene Clark to succeed her as Regional Vice President for New England.
Rob Cox To Lecture On Special Night Rob Cox, professional magical comedian in England will present a lecture for our club on Monday, March 31, starting at 8PM. This is a special added night and does not replace any meeting night. The cost is free to members of SAM #21 and $10 to all others. S.A.M. 21 Board
