SAM Dean Jay Marshall Ill But Mending

Jay Marshall, dean of the Society, was taken into the hospital for a kidney stone problem recently. There was an infection, but it was treated and Jay was resting comfortably as of Saturday.
On Jay’s request, his grandson Chris has smuggled his cat, "Bongo," into the hospital multiple times.
At press time, Chris reports (via George Schindler and Alan Watson) that "Jay looks much better, awake and alert."
He also says, "When I went in earlier I told him he looked great and the nurse, in that condescending tone they have, said, ‘yes, Mr. Marshall is much more alert today,’ and Jay flipped her the bird behind her back. So that was a happy sight. ... We all hope for the best and for now things are going as well as can be expected."

Keep a good thought in mind for Lefty’s boss.
